16.4 brought us a chipper– with 4 movements and very high reps. It paired a complimentary combination of Deadlifts, Wall Balls, Rowing, and Handstand Push-ups, or Hand Release Push-ups for the scaled division. This WOD needed a correct pacing of Deadlifts to start, in order to not burnout early and struggle through the finish. We saw multiple great performances, with some finishing a whole round in the scaled division, along with others performing a solid amount of Handstand Push-ups in a WOD. As challenging as 16.4 was, the after effects were much worse. Some members are still feeling it’s effects 4-5 days after. For 16.5 the question isn’t if there will be Thrusters, but in what manner, and if they will be paired with anything.
